Time flies and my time in Todai has come to an end, which leaves countless valuable knowledge, experiences, and great minds for me to remember. I treasured my time here and always tried to experience more about Japan by communicating with my professors, classmates and the locals. I really love the both ancient and modern country and the kindly people. They say Japan is a country with which one falls in love the minute he sets foot on. I’ll never doubt this.

As an exchange student from CAMPUS Asia Program, I’m really grateful that I have the full freedom to choose whichever courses I’m interested in without the limitation of credits or major, so that I was lucky enough to take those classes, together with the insightful professor, devoted TA, and intelligent classmates. At the ending point of this semester, I would also like to express my gratitude to my professors. Thanks for a whole semester’s devotion on these awesome courses, in which I gained a great deal of knowledge through reading, presentations and writing.

There’re much more fun out of the class. I still remember the international student tour to Hakone and Kamakura. That was my first time to really experience Japanese Onsen, which was so amazing and impressive. The whole trip was well organized, from the transportation to the accommodation and travel route. Really thanks for all the efforts that all the staffs has put in.

I must say Tokyo is a city that I would like to come again. Life here is busy but cozy, people are really nice and helpful. I feel safe all the time, both walking alone late at night and traveling alone to other places. I never doubt there would be any residue of pesticide on the fruits and vegetables I bought in Japan. Even though I don’t speak Japanese that well, I’m not afraid of being lost cause there’re always kindly people who are willing to help. During the times that my wallets are lost, the staffs offered valuable help, and it made me feel warm even one of the wallets was never found.

I’ve also traveled to other cities, including Kyoto, Osaka and Hokkaido. The temples with red leaves in Kyoto were so beautiful and I was impressed by the efforts that Japanese government has put in restoring the heritages in the ancient time. Osaka, on the other hand, was more modern and fashionable, filling with shopping malls and amusing parks. On January 2016, I went to Hokkaido for skiing and onsen. The scenery was beautiful with snow all day long. Sapporo was a place with amazing food and great view. Through traveling, I gained a better understanding of Japanese culture, which I was attracted afterwards.

As planned, I would go to SNU for another semester, but I’ll always treasure the valuable time in Japan and those friends that I’ve met.
