科目概要

 本講は政治学の一分野としての国際政治経済の視点から、近年の資本移動及び貿易拡大が国際・国内市場を媒介に(1)各国政府にどのような金融・財政政策や産業・労働政策の適応を迫り、(2)そのような国内適応が各国の通貨・金融や貿易・投資政策をどう規定し、その結果(3)通貨・金融や貿易・投資をめぐる国際的・地域的協力関係がどう変容・展開しているかに関する分析枠組と実証研究を講義・議論する。  具体的には、国際貿易や国際金融の実証分析で解明された最近の市場動向を前提に、それが政府の?特に適切な経済運営とそのための政権維持の必要性の両立に迫られた政府の?選択肢をどう制約・規定し、そのような経済政策的要請と国内政治的要請の両立を図ろうとする各国政府の対立・連携・協調の結果、国際・地域経済秩序がどのように展開・変容しているかを考察する。つまり、行動主体としての政府が政策的合理性と政治的妥当性をどう勘案・調整するかの究明が本講の焦点であり実践的含意であるばかりでなく、本講と経済学の国際経済政策科目や法学の国際経済法科目との補完的相違点である。  単位認定は出席と試験(イン・クラースかテーク・ホーム)による。(尚、このシラバスは http://www.iss.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~hiwatari/ からもダウンロードできる。) 講義は以下の構成に従って、そこにある参考文献に沿って、解説する。特に教科書は指定しないが、標準的な概説書やリーディングスとしては以下のものがある。
