日本のマクロ経済が直面する諸問題について、学生の問題意識や関心も勘案しつつ、課題設定する。想定される課題はつぎのとおり。
(1A) バブルとその崩壊が、金融システムに与える影響について
(1B) バブルは未然に防ぐべきか、その方法は？
(2A) 日本銀行はインフレ目標政策を採用すべきか
(2B) 日本のデフレ脱却の戦略
(3A) 政府債務の維持可能性
(3B) 適切な「財政ルール」はどのようなものか
履修前提。マクロ経済学および統計分析基礎（または計量経済学）を履修したことがあるか、基礎知識をもっていること。
This case study will be conducted in English. The topics for a group can be chosen with consultation, but possible topics for the case study include the followings:
(1A) Impacts of a financial bubble and its collapse on the financial system
(1B) Should policies be employed to preemptively stop bubble to become large
(2A) Should the Bank of Japan adopt inflation targeting?
(2B) How could Japan overcome “deflation”?
(3A) Sustainability of government debt
(3B) What is an appropriate “fiscal rule”?
Prerequisites: Knowledge of Macroeconomics and Statistical method (or Econometrics)
