Objectives/Overview
Main purpose of this course is to provide the fundamental macroeconomic theories to the graduate students studying the public policy. We also apply these theories to examine the contemporary macroeconomic issues in the global economy and financial system. The following issues will be discussed in the lecture:
(1) Monetary Policy under the Zero Interest Rate
(2) Global Imbalances
(3) China's Exchange Rate Regime
(4) Japan's Lost Decades
(5) US Financial Crisis
(6) Eurozone Crisis
