Objectives/Overview

This case study will focus on Official Development Assistance as a framework to help development of developing and emerging countries. It will begin with definition and history of ODA, examine and compare bilateral and multilateral ODAs, and discuss current issues surrounding ODA.

The course aims to prepare students for future positions, in both public and private sectors, where an international perspective is required.

Teaching Methods

Lectures and discussions.
Students will be required to form several groups depending on their interests and collectively make a presentation and write a final paper in English.

Grading

Grading will be based on class participation (40%) and a presentation and a report (60%).
