Professor T. Ito visited Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy
February 4, 2005 Professor Takatoshi Ito of GraSPP visited Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKY SPP), National University of Singapore and had a meeting with Dean Kishore Mahbubani, HUI Weng Tat and TENG Su Ching (both of whom are Vice Deans) for one and a half hours.
Although LKYSPP is a graduate school of public policy which has just been established in National University of Singapore campus, its preceding programs have been implemented for past twelve years. Now LKY SPP has been made independent and transferred to a new building. LKY SPP offers two types of Master’s Degrees; MPM (18 months program for the youth) and MPP (one year program for middle-class government officials).
Professor Ito and LKY SPP Professors including Dean Mahbubani exchanged opinions on raison d'etres of graduate schools of public policy and international cooperation.
