The Graduate School of Public Policy has commenced a double degree program with the National University of Singapore's Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy

The University of Tokyo's Graduate School of Public Policy recently concluded consultations with the National University of Singapore's Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, signing a memorandum on November 11th. This marks the first double degree program for The University of Tokyo.

Double degree programs are a natural progression of exchange programs and serve to provide broader international understanding by allowing students to remain affiliated with their home university whilst enrolling at a partner university as a full-time student; receiving a degree from both universities after all academic requirements are satisfied. Being a full-time student as opposed to an exchange student provides the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the experience and broaden their future opportunities and potential.

In recent years, leading schools of public policy around the world have been developing a stronger international network founded on double degree programs. The Graduate School of Public Policy currently has reciprocal exchange agreements with Columbia University (SIPA), Sciences Po Paris, and the Hertie School of Governance. The Graduate School of Public Policy is moving forward to conclude double degree programs with these leading institutions, making a positive contribution to the network.
