【Internship】Administrative Procedures for Registration and Application for Course credits for Internship

The following states the administrative procedures for the registration and application for one credit for Practical Training Course "Internship" (Course code: 5139000):

The Academic Instructor must be an academic staff who is teaching GraSPP courses (except temporary contracted staff)

1. Students who are going to serve an internship duration of one week and above at public policy related organizations such as government agencies, municipal bodies, NPO or private institutions etc may register and apply for one credit.

2. Students can register and apply for one credit for the internship participation anytime, but must first seek approval from the respective Academic Instructor and submit the Internship Application Form to the GraSPP Student Affairs Office at least one week before the start of the internship.

3. Right after the completion of the internship, students are required to submit to GraSPP Student Affairs Office (i) an academic report on the internship (refer to Internship Report Form) and (ii) relevant documents of proof of the internship participation.

4. After GraSPP Student Affairs Office check that the submitted documents are in order, the documents will be sent to the respective Academic Instructor for evaluation.

5. The Academic Instructor will evaluate the report (students may be asked questions relating to the reports) and approve the course credit. If approved, students can obtain one credit.

6. After the evaluation, the Academic Instructor will submit the Internship report to GraSPP Student Affairs Office and inform the results of evaluation.

* Students can only obtain a maximum of one credit for Internship participation in the entire course of study at GraSPP.
