The Institute of New Economic Thinking (INET) will be convening its youth outreach programme Young Scholars Initiative (YSI) in Hong Kong. As part of the YSI programme in Hong Kong, INET will hold a graduate student workshop before the main Conference from 2-3 April 2013. The workshop consists of lectures in the morning and student presentations in the afternoon. The primary aim of the workshop is to give graduate students the opportunity to present and discuss their research work in a collaborative environment.

The workshop is open to PhD students with a background in economics or related fields (INET has confirmed that GraSPP students are most welcome to apply) from around the world. Successful applicants will also be able to have full access to most Main Conference programme activities, and the opportunity to confer with the over 350 scholars, policy makers, and journalists also in attendance.

Participation is free for the successful applicants including travel, hotel accommodation and meals throughout the conference. Successful applicants will need to arrive in Hong Kong on Monday, April 1, and to depart on Sunday, April 7.
