CALL FOR PAPERS
to be presented at Workshop on November 12, 2015 at CIEM in Hanoi

Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) under the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam and Graduate School of Public Policy (GraSPP), The University of Tokyo, jointly organize Vietnam/Japan Emerging Researchers Forum. The Forum aims to promote intellectual exchange between emerging researchers from Vietnam and Japan by organizing a seminar titled “Partnership Opportunities for Vietnam's Successful Inclusion in ASEAN Economic Community (AEC)”. As an integral part of the Forum's activities, CIEM provides an opportunity for graduate students from GraSPP to present their papers and discuss issues with researchers from CIEM.

Two graduate students from GraSPP are invited to present their papers on "Partnership Opportunities between Vietnam and Japan for Vietnam's Successful Inclusion in AEC" at a workshop scheduled for Thursday, November 12, 2015 to be held at CIEM Head Office in Hanoi.

The papers should discuss "Partnership Opportunities between Vietnam and Japan for Vietnam's Successful Inclusion in AEC" and could have a subject focus on, but not limited to:

  • ASEAN connectivity
  • Competitiveness
  • Financing
  • Foreign direct investment
  • Human capital
  • Infrastructure
  • Innovation
  • Social programs

A paper of about 2,500 words in English should be presented at the workshop and an abstract of the paper (about 400 words) should be submitted via e-mail to tnishizawa@pp.u-tokyo.ac.jp (cc: aduong@mpi.gov.vn) by Monday, September 28, 2015. The Forum Committee will select two papers on the basis of abstracts received by the submission deadline.

Please note that there is no financial aid for participants to this workshop. Therefore, students once selected are encouraged to apply for GraSPP International Academic Conferences Participation Grant.
