How to Calculate Your GPA at GraSPP

1. Convert each letter grade into its grade point. The grade points associated with each letter grade are as follows:

   Letter Grades	Grade Points
   A+	4.3
   A	4
   B	3
   C	2

2. Multiply each course grade points by the number of credit points.
   Ex: 4.3 (grade A+) x 4.0 (credits) = 17.2
3. Add all those totals.
4. Divide that sum by total credit points you have earned. This is your GPA.
   Ex: (4.3 x 4.0 + 3 x 2.0 + 2 x 2.0) / 8.0 (credits)= 3.4

Note:
- This rule only applies to GraSPP students.
- A course taken at other graduate schools or undergraduate faculties at the University of Tokyo does not count in the GPA calculation.
- When a course is taken on "Pass" or "Q" does not used in the GPA calculation.

公共政策学教育部におけるGPA換算方法について

1. 各授業科目の成績評価を以下の表にしたがって、点数に置き換える。

   成績評価	点数
   A+	4.3
   A	4
   B	3
   C	2

2. 各授業科目の点数に、取得した単位数を掛ける。
   例：4.3（成績評価A+）×4.0（単位数）＝17.2
3. 上記の方法により計算したそれぞれの値を合計する。
4. 合計した値を総取得単位数で除する。
   例：(4.3 x 4.0 + 3 x 2.0 + 2 x 2.0) / 8.0 (単位数)= 3.4

注意：
- 公共政策学教育部においてのみ適用される。
- 本学他研究科・他学部の科目については、総取得単位数から除く。
- 成績評価が「合格」、「認定」となっている授業科目については、総取得単位数から除く。
