As Japan expands Open-Sky Agreement (OSA) network and airlines tighten their alliances, the situations surrounding Japanese air transport market are changing rapidly. What are the effects of the differences of code share agreements to form their alliances on airfares? What impact OSA may have on social welfare? These are very important questions from business as well as public policy viewpoints.
In this workshop, we invite Assistant Professor Benny Mantin of University of Waterloo to present his recent paper on these problems.
