Admission Fees and Application for Exemption
The admission fee is paid only once when a student is admitted to the university. The amount is 282,000 JPY. Those who need financial assistance may apply for an exemption from the admission fee, although it is subject to screening. Tuition Fees and Application for Exemption
Students are required to pay tuition for a six-month period in May and November each year, via direct debit from their bank account. The amount per semester is 267,900 JPY for master’s students, 260,400 JPY for doctoral students.

If you require financial assistance, you may apply for an exemption from the tuition fee. It will be subject to screening. For more information, please refer to the Student Scholarship and Welfare Group webpage.
Student Certificates
Current students can get certificates (transcript, certificate of estimated graduation, certificate of enrollment, etc.) with the certificate machines on campus, one of which is located in front of GraSPP Office. Graduates can request certificates at GraSPP office.
Course Registration
Please complete course registration through UTAS before the deadline.
Students receive user ID and password to enter UTAS at the time of enrollment.
Annual Health Check-up
UTokyo Health Service Center provides free anual health checkups for all students.
Health checkups for new students are scheduled at Hongo campus in around May for April entries, and in around October for September entries.
For students in 2nd year or above, annual health checkups are provided in May or June every year at Hongo campus. Please see the webpage below for details.
