NOTICE: To students who have been affected by the earthquakes in Kumamoto
The University of Tokyo will provide the following support to students who have suffered due to the earthquakes occurring in Kumamoto since April 14th, 2016. Please contact the relevant offices listed below if you require support.
【Financial and Housing Reliefs】
1. Students who have difficulties continuing to be enrolled at the University because of financial problems as a result of the earthquakes in Kumamoto and are from the areas designated for relief by the Disaster Relief Act, may request for the following financial aids: entrance fee exemption, tuition fees exemption, and scholarships from JASSO (Japanese Student Services Organization).

2. Students who have difficulties continuing to be enrolled at the University because of financial problems as a result of the earthquakes in Kumamoto and are from the areas designated for relief by the Disaster Relief Act, may request to move into the accommodations (the International Hall of Residence).

【Counseling for Enrolled Students】
Enrolled students whose homes have been damaged/affected by the earthquakes in Kumamoto and are experiencing difficulties, such as not being able to enroll for their courses within the specified time, or have to be absent from classes, etc. should contact the relevant advisors in the offices of their faculty or graduate school of affiliation.
【Support for Seeking Employment】
Enrolled students whose homes have been damaged/affected by the earthquakes in Kumamoto and are experiencing difficulties or concern about seeking employment should contact the Career Support Office.

【Counseling facilities】
The International Center Offices would like to express their deepest sympathy to all those affected by the recent Kumamoto Earthquakes.
