The debate over China’s economy keeps people’s attention with two opposing views. Some argue for China’s potential as the world’s second largest economy and hope for successful reforms to address various challenges. The others are skeptical about the success of reform efforts and talk about crisis scenarios. Mr. Otani is going to discuss China’s prospects for long-term growth and its sustainability by evaluating the past performance.
