(Call for application) LKY Study Trip in Japan 2017 December 26, 2016


The purpose of the trip is to provide an opportunity for students of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (LKYSPP) and GraSPP to study Japanese public policy through discussions and visits to stakeholders Japanese policy-making, including ministries, local governments, NGOs and businesses. The Study Trip is very popular among both LKYSPP and GraSPP students every year, and this time is the 7th anniversary trip. There will be funding available for the students who help prepare for the trip. The trip is also a great opportunity to network and befriend students of one of the most prestigious public policy schools in Asia.

Back to Tokyo by airplane

Visit organizations such as METI, JTA and Agency for Cultural Affairs

GraSPP Day

2/24 Fri

Visit cultural facilities

Visit companies related to AI such as Honda

Social gathering with members of the Diet

2/25 Sat

Field work



Support the students from LKYSPP
Prepare for the program (e.g. Preparation of GraSPP day, creation of final reports after the trip)

*If we receive more than 6 applications, we will consult the participants to adjust the number after closing the application.

Accommodations and transportation outside of Tokyo will mainly be funded by the program. You may be asked to pay around 10,000 yen for food and other expenses.
*Due to the school’s regulations, you will receive the subsidies after the event. Therefore, we ask you to pay the fees (58,680yen) in advance.
