授業の目標・概要 / Objectives
特定の課題について、文献、インタヴュー、その他の調査を行い、その検討結果をまとめ、リサーチペーパーとして作成する。これを通じて、学生が特定の政策課題について調査し、問題を分析する力を養うとともに、これをペーパーとしてまとめ、表現する能力をつける。課題に応じて指導教員は、ペーパー作成に必要な助言を行う。提出されたペーパーについて審査委員による口述試験を通過して所定の単位を与える。

You are to write a Research Paper on a specific topic based on your research findings through literature review, interviews or other researches. The Research Paper is meant to nurture both your analytical and presentation skills. The academic advisor will give advice relating to the topic of your research paper. The Research Paper submitted will be assessed by a panel of judges through an oral examination, and upon passing of which will be awarded of relevant credits.

リサーチペーパーを作成するには、指導教員の指導を受けなければならない。学生は指導教員となることを希望する教員に、指導教員になることの承諾を求めなければならない。
分量は12,000字以内を目安とする。各年次の12月の所定の日までに提出しなければならない。
You must receive supervision from your academic advisor when writing the Research Paper. Students must gain consent of a faculty member to become their academic advisor.
The Research Paper should have an approximate character count of no more than 12,000 characters (Japanese) or 4,200 words (English). You must submit the Research Paper by the pre-determined date set in December every year.
成績評価方法 / Grading
査読審査及び口述試験による。
Determined by peer review and oral examination.

履修登録方法等詳細については、4月下旬に公共政策大学院Current Studentsウェブページに掲載する。
リサーチペーパーによる単位修得は、修了までに4単位を上限とする。
Further information will be announced on the Current Students webpage in late April.
A maximum of up to 4 credits for Research Paper to be obtained before graduation is allowed.
