Description
This course will deal with wide range of issues faced at the interface areas between science, technology and public policy. The following topics are included: risk assessment and risk management, analysis of various policy instruments (law, information, insurance, compensation schemes, third parties and accident investigation), social decision-making and consensus building for introducing technologies, international harmonization of regulations, international cooperation for R&D and international technology transfer.
