Description

This course introduces students to economic analyses of competition policies and regulation issues in Japan. The main goal of the course is to familiarize students with important topics in the literature of industrial organization today, and put students in a position to do their own research on the issues of Japanese competition policies and regulation. The course covers both normative and positive analyses on government policies implemented in Japanese industries, including electricity, telecommunications, and transport sectors.
