Japan experienced the long stagnation during the 1990’s. The decade long stagnation was so severe that Japan was said to have trapped into the “Lost Decade.” During the period, the heated discussion was made surrounding both fiscal and monetary policies. This course surveys macroeconomic policies during the 1990’s, and also discusses the process of policy making.
