Description

This course will deal with issues such as handling of uncertainty, involvement of public and role of professional responsibility in policy making related to science and technology. After theories and several cases are discussed, broader topic of Energy and Environment will be used as a case study this year. This topic includes issues such as R&D policy, energy saving policy and energy security policy. Participants are required to interview stakeholders, construct the problem based on stakeholders’ perceptions and make policy recommendations based on the analysis.
