Description

This course provides an introduction to the fundamental principles of economics. The first half of the course deals with microeconomic issues including the behavior of individuals and firms, market equilibrium, the market failure, and the role of information in markets. The second half of the course is devoted to macroeconomics and examines the determinants of aggregate economic variables, such as GDP, unemployment rate, inflation, and the balance of payments, and the relationships between them.
