Description
This course analyses and compares different ways of institutionalization of European and East Asian regionalism: the EU for Europe, and ASEAN for East Asia. The comparative analysis mainly focuses on their legal principles, institutional forms and major policies, but the analysis also extends to their political practices of institutional operation. Final discussion will be a proposal for a possible East Asian Community between ASEAN, China, Korea and Japan.
