Description

International Political Economy (IPE) is a sub-discipline which covers wide-ranging issues that cut across International Politics and Economics. Therefore, we shall also deal with a traditional issues of trade and money as well as other issues such as regional integration, development, environmental problems, immigration and so on. Students will be expected to conduct independent research, and this class will provide a forum for presentation and feedback. We shall start with reading John Ravenhill's textbook to share some basic understandings of IPE. After some guidance on research methods, students will do their own research and present their results in class later in the semester.
