Description

In the information age, investments in information systems are indispensable in the conduct of government activities. Japanese Government spends 600 billion yen for IT, while US federal administration does 70 billion US$. We study challenges government are facing by using IT from the perspectives of political science and public management. During the course, we will explore new means of public management, which uses information technology, like personnel and budget, as resources for better outcomes of government activities.
