Application for the interactive sessions with President’s Council members

Application is now open to participate in a most exciting opportunity to have a direct conversation with the President’s Council members of the University of Tokyo.

DATE: Thursday, November 18, 2010 16:00-17:30
PLACE: Hongo Campus, The University of Tokyo (rooms TBA)

Please apply by email to Student Affiars Office at GraSPP (ppin [at] j.u-tokyo.ac.jp), clarifying your name, student ID number, and contact email address.
The deadline is October 18, 2010.
You are also required to tell us which session you would like to participate in and let us know the 1st and 2nd choice. If you do not have any choice, let us know, too.
GraSPP will accept 4 applicants.

The President’s Council was created in November, 2006 as the global advisory board to the president of the University of Tokyo. Its mission is to provide assistance and guidance to the president for developing comprehensive strategy and achieving specific actions of the University. The Council is composed of a select number of distinguished members of top executives, academia, and more from around the world.

This time, members will hold the interactive sessions with students upon special request by President Hamada. Each Council member will hold a session with a small group of 10-15 students.

2. Dr. Rita R. Colwell (USA) Distinguished Professor, University of Maryland at College Park and Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, Senior Advisor and Chairman Emeritus, Canon U.S. Life Sciences
3. Mr. Hassan Jameel (Saudi Arabia) General Manager, Dealer Development, Abdul Latif Jameel Co.,Ltd.
4. Professor Frederick G. Hilmer (Australia) President and Vice-Chancellor, The University of New South Wales
5. Dr. Kari Olavi Raivio (Finland) Chancellor Emeritus, The University of Helsinki
6. Mr. N.R.Narayana Murthy(India) Chairman and Chief Mentor, Infosys Technologies Limited
