The International Longevity Center of Japan has kindly provided an updated 2012 version of "A Profile of the Older Japanese" for your reference. (The updated one from what I have distributed at the “Japanese Social Security Administration” class last year.) The book includes not only the essential data to understand the socioeconomic condition of the Japanese elderly, but also the comparison of the social security system of UK, USA, France and Japan featuring the behaviors of the elderly in these countries when they get cold and backache. You can find my essay that explains the behavior of the Japanese and how it could be interpreted with referring to our health care system. You can pick it up at in front of the desk of our Administration Office on first-come, first-served basis.
