Notice from GraSPP (Chicken pox)

This is a health notice about 'chicken pox'. We have had one case in the GraSPP community.

Note that once you have had a disease before or if you have had immunization shots when you were young, there is almost no danger of getting it again.

If you have any symptom mentioned below, please consult a doctor immediately.

  • blister on skin (水疱)
  • malaise(倦怠感)
  • high fever (高熱)
  • nausea (吐き気)
  • dizziness (めまい)

If you are diagnosed as 'chicken pox', please be sure to report to the international student adviser and avoid going out as this is an air-borne contagious disease.

You cannot come to the university for about one week after the start of taking medicine for this disease. (If you don’t know exactly when, please consult your doctor.)

If you ask your tutor to go to a doctor with you, please make sure that he/she had a chicken pox or immunized in the past. If you don’t speak Japanese and cannot find anybody to go to a doctor with you, please contact your international student adviser by email.
