COURSE: Monday & Wednesday, at Period 2, "Case Study (International Political Economy)"

Message from Prof. HIWATARI.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR JULY 22nd. MEETING

Here are some pointers for those who missed Monday's class.

  1. Time and Venue: 10:30 am at the 1st. floor conference room of the Institute of Social Sciences building.

Turn left as you enter the building and the room is on your right side.

The room should be unlocked. If I am late from my early morning administrative meeting, feel free to enter the room and switch on the air conditioning.

  2. Requirements: For course credit, you must bring in an electronic version and hardcopies of your complete paper and your presentation slides.

A printed out version of your presentation slides must be distributed in class for the benefit of your classmates.

10 copies (with 2 or 4 slides per page) should suffice.

Also, do not forget to bring with you at least one hard copy of your paper for me and for those who want to take a look at it while you're presenting.

  3. Procedures: Every person has a 30 min. slot, meaning a 20 min. presentation with a 10 min. Q & A session.

Remember that presenting your paper is an important part of the exercise, so you are strongly recommended do a practice presentation at home in advance and to time yourself while doing it.

  4. Misc: For those of you who have the time, I'd like to take you out for (usually) a curry after the meeting to know you better. No pressure, but if you have the time please join me.

If you have any questions, email me.

Nobuhiro
