Welcome Aboard - MPP/IP Now Launched

On October 1st, 2010, Graduate School of Public Policy welcomed its first cohort of MPP/IP, Master of Public Policy, International Program.

26 students including three Japanese students, the first dual degree student from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy as well as 4 exchange students, have started their new lives at Todai.

An extensive and diverse menu of taught-in-English courses will be offered by this program, giving international students without Japanese language skills the opportunity to learn cutting edge approaches to the public policy arena from internationally renowned faculty members at the University of Tokyo.

All courses offered in MPP/IP are also open to English-competent students in the Japanese MPP program. Additionally, student groups and school organized extra-curricular activities are combined, allowing for increased social and scholarly exchange. Furthermore, MPP/IP students have access to courses in other graduate schools, both English and, language competency permitting, Japanese based.

Scholarships from World Bank (JJ/WBGSP) and ADB (ADB-JSP) are being offered. From Academic Year 2011, GraSPP will join the partner universities for Japan-IMF Scholarship Program for Asia (IMF-JISPA).
