Dear GraSPP students,

I am pleased to announce the topic for the spring GPPN Essay contest in theColumbia University Journal of International Affairs. Our spring issue topic is Latin America and we are inviting submissions from University of Tokyo students that focus on a country in Latin America.

Published by Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, the Journal of International Affairs is one of the oldest and most respected foreign affairs periodicals. Since 2010 the Journal has held the Global Public Policy Essay Contest, allowing students from GPPN member schools, including The Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Tokyo, to submit essays for publication in the Journal. One is picked to be the winner and is published alongside academic and professional leaders in the Journal.
