Description

This class aims at understanding the basic framework of UNCLOS, Outer Space Law Regime, as well as the International Law of Airspace. This year the focus is placed on how international law manages to creat order in the newly emerging problems, i.e. ocean resources, maritime environment, safety of navigation of ships and aircraft, commercialisation of outer space, etc. In the latter half of this course, it is planned to invite several guest speakers, who are experts in each problem area and some of whom are government officials, to give lecture on what is going on to solve the actual problems.
