Basic Macroeconomics

Faculty

M. Kasuya

Description

Macroeconomics is the study of the economy's performance and the government's role in altering that performance. Macroeconomics departs from microeconomics in focusing on the whole economy rather than its constituent parts.

This course will cover a number of topics in macroeconomics mainly for those who have not studied macroeconomics before. We will use Mankiw's Macroeconomics as a textbook because it treats both Classical and Keynesian economics evenly so that we can easily understand the history of macroeconomics.

Grades are based on the homework, two midterm exams and one final exam.
