1st SCERU Practitioners’ Seminar (November 2022)

SCERU conducted its first Practitioners’ Seminar in November 2022. The invitation-only seminar brought together officials of the European Union/EU Member States and Japan in a venue conducive to peer-to-peer learning and exchange of knowledge and experiences.

Discussion focused on the conceptual approaches of Strategic Communications and the long-term implications of ongoing narrative and counter narrative formations. This was a closed-door meeting.

2nd SCERU Practitioners’ Seminar (October-November 2023)

The second SCERU Practitioners’ Seminar was held in October/November 2023 as an invitation-only event for learning and exchange of knowledge and experience on Strategic Communications and counter-FIMI. The seminar, held in an environment conducive to active participation and discussion, focused on the Indo-Pacific and assembled not only officials of the European Union/EU Member States and Japan but also those of the Indo-Pacific region.

The event presented lectures by leading experts on the issues at hand. It was a closed-door meeting.

3rd SCERU Practitioners’ Seminar (June 2024)

SCERU successfully conducted its third Practitioners’ Seminar. This invitation-only event extended the achievements of the second Practitioners’ Seminar held in 2023 and expanded significantly the scope of participation well beyond Europe and Japan to a greater number from the Indo-Pacific region.

The event presented lectures and panel presentations by experts on the counter FIMI and Strategic Communications. Active exchange of views took place to the benefit of inter-regional policy dialogue on crucial contemporary issues pertaining to the issues at hand. It was a closed-door meeting.
