I had a full semester at the University of Tokyo. Not only did I acquire more knowledge from courses, but also I learned more about Japanese culture and society. Moreover, through interaction with my classmates, I established friendship, which is valuable throughout my life.

I really appreciate the joint course and the Okinawa field trip. Topics introduced in the course were interesting and related to my research. Group work for presentation went smoothly and I was impressed with my group members’ good ideas and hard work. In addition, the Japanese course I took was also helpful. I got a chance to practice oral Japanese. I will continue to study Japanese after I return to China.

I enjoyed the life in Tokyo. I had been to Tokyo once before this opportunity and I really like this city. I have deep interest in Japanese culture, so it was a great chance for me to experience it through daily life. During weekends, I went to museums and galleries, such as National Art Center and Mori Museum. I enjoyed exhibitions about Japanese anime, architecture, traditional food and so on. I also traveled to other cities during vacations. I went to Kyoto, Osaka, Sapporo and Otaru. I was surprised by the different local culture, which enriched my knowledge and broadened my horizon.

After my exchange at the University of Tokyo, I have a better understanding of Japan and Sino‐Japan relation. In addition, I have more friends from Japan and Korea. I am very grateful for the professors and staff of this program. I will continue to work hard to realize self-value, keeping this precious experience in mind.
