[Invitation] Microsoft × UNU: AI, Policy & SDGs – A Special Networking Event for Students and Young Professionals 2025年09月03日(水)

締切日/開催日 2025年09月10日(水)

申し訳ありません、このコンテンツはただ今 English のみです。

Microsoft and the United Nations University (UNU) are hosting a special event in Tokyo, featuring senior leaders from Microsoft’s Government Affairs teams across the Asia-Pacific region — including Japan, India, Korea, ASEAN, Australia, and New Zealand. They are inviting college students, graduate students, and recent graduates/young professionals based in Tokyo to join an engaging small-group discussion with these leaders.

The agenda for the event is as follows:
Date:

Tuesday, 16 September

Time:

4:00–6:00 PM (please arrive by 4:00 PM for registration)

Location:

United Nations University Headquarters, Jingumae, Tokyo

Agenda:

4-4:25pm – Students arrive at UNU and register to enter the building (please be on time since they will not be able to enter once the event starts at 4:30)

4:30-5:30pm – Discussions and networking

10 mins – 5 min intro from UNU, 5 min intro from Microsoft to welcome everyone to the event

2 mins – UNU to introduce discussion topics & exercise, break into several small groups with 1-2 Microsoft employee per group with students.

Discussion prompts:

·Opportunities to leverage AI to advance key policy topics (like UN Sustainable Development Goals) in your country

·Opportunities and concerns about AI in policy work

15 mins read out with everyone – 1 student per group shares top insight(s) from their group’s discussion with the rest of room

5 mins thank you & closing remarks

5:30–6pm – Networking mixer between students and Microsoft leaders
This will be a unique opportunity for young people to meet and network with our team at Microsoft and to learn more about AI and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from UNU and Microsoft leaders who are working at the forefront of these issues across Asia as well as to discuss career paths in tech, policy, and the private sector.
The only expectation/requirement for these students and recent grads is that:
1) they will be able to arrive at the UNU by 16:30 since the event will kick off right at 16:30 and for security reasons they would need to be at the UNU by 16:30, and
2) they are able to discuss these issues in English so there is no need for these students to have a background in AI, tech, or even policy issues like the SDGs.
To apply:
