How to Apply for the 2nd recruitment AY2025/2026 (Posted on March 17, 2025)
*Account registration for the 2nd recruitment AY2025/2026 is available from Monday, March 17th at 10:00 a.m. (JST).
STEP1・Download the Application Guidelines and Forms from the link above and read through them carefully. ・Prepare the necessary application documents. ・Read through FAQ before proceeding to STEP2.
STEP2 Register and create an account through the Web Application System before starting application. Account registration for the 2nd recruitment AY2025/2026 will be available from Monday, March 17th at 10:00 a.m. (JST). STEP3 Enter all the application information and upload necessary documents through the Web Application System. A request for a letter of reference will be sent to the referee through the Web Application System. Please note that applicants cannot submit or complete applications until the referee has uploaded or submitted the letter of reference through the Web Application System after receiving the request e-mail. STEP4 Submit and complete the application through the Web Application System during the application period. We do not accept late submission outside the application period. STEP5 Application number will be notified via e-mail after the application submission is completed.・For those who graduated from universities within mainland China (excluding Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan), submission of the following degree verification documents is also required during the enrollment procedure. As it may take time from the application to the issuance, please prepare well in advance. <Degree Verification Documents> Obtain a PDF file of the English version of the 'Online Verification Report of Higher Education Degree Certificate' issued by China Higher Education Student Information Network (CHSI), which is managed by Center for Student Services and Development (CSSD), and ensure it can be submitted during the enrollment procedure. Please note that documents issued by CHSI Japan Agency will not be accepted.

[Deadline Today]Notes Regarding Course Registration Correction for A1A2, A1 Courses
Today, October 17 is the last day of registration correction period for courses offered at A1A2 term and A1 term. Please reconfirm Page 41-43 of “Course Registration and Academic Procedures Guide” and make sure you register necessary courses during the designated period. Registration Correction Period From Thursday, October 13 to Monday, October 17. Course Registration and Academic Procedures Guide (PDF) http://www.pp.u-tokyo.ac.jp/en/education/courses/ Please pay special attention to the following points: -During “Course registration correction period” you can add, change or remove courses during the period. You CANNOT add, change or remove courses after the period. -You need to register your courses through UTAS. Course registration through ITC-LMS or bookmarking syllabus on UTAS is different from “Course Registration” on UTAS. To earn credits, you must register courses through UTAS. -Maximum amount of credits that students can register in one academic year is 38. Autumn enrolled student’s academic year will be counted from September. -If you are planning to register Thesis(6 credits) and/or Research Paper(2 credits), please make sure you do not exceed 38 credits including Thesis and Research Paper. -If you have any trouble or difficulties with registration on UTAS, please contact GraSPP Office by the end of course registration correction period. We can not respond to any request after the period. -

Dear GraSPP students, We will conduct an emergency drill as follows. If your schedule permits, please take part in the drill. Date & Time: Friday, 21st October, 12:10pm – 12:30pm * In case of rain, the emergency drill may be canceled. Venue: Front of International Academic Research Bldg. (Evacuation area) * Drill is on the same schedule with Economics Research Bldg., Ito International Research Center, and Economics Research Annex. Outline: The emergency drill will be conducted on the assumption that we have an earthquake intensity of 6 uppers. Please follow the steps below. Notice of the drill at 12:10pm ==> Evacuation instruction at 12:15pm Following the instructions, please evacuate to the evacuation area and receive the“Safety Confirmation Sheet”. *Please use stairs, not elevators. Please report the completion of evacuation to the person in charge of the drill.
