Notice: “Macroeconomics I” to Be Offered in A1A2 Terms from AY2026 2025年10月22日(水)

申し訳ありません、このコンテンツはただ今 English のみです。

Starting from AY2026, “Macroeconomics I” offered by the Graduate School of Economics will be offered in A1A2 terms, instead of S1S2 terms as previously offered. Alternative measures will be provided for students enrolled in October 2024 and October 2025 for the period “Macroeconomics I” is not offered. For details, refer to “Alternative Measures” below.

Alternative Measures

※ Following measures are only taken in AY2026.

Master’s students enrolled in October 2024 may take “Empirical Analysis of Dynamic Macroeconomic Models”, instructed by SINTANI Mototsugu as an alternative to “Macroeconomics I”. In this case, you must register this course under the name of “Macroeconomics I (Special Topics in Economics)” offered by the Graduate School of Economics. By doing so, this course is treated as “Macroeconomics I” which is required for both master’s program completion and advancement to the doctoral program. On the other hand, if you register this same course under the title of “Empirical Analysis of Dynamic Macroeconomic Models”, the course will not be regarded as an alternative to “Macroeconomics I”, but as one of the Elective Courses (of Category of Topic Course) offered by GraSPP. Once credits are earned from the above mentioned “Macroeconomics I (Special Topics in Economics)”, credits for “Macroeconomics I” offered in A1A2 of AY2026 or later will not be awarded. If this same course is registered under the title of “Empirical Analysis of Dynamic Macroeconomic Models”, you may take and earn credits from “Macroeconomics I” offered in A1A2 of AY2026 or later.

Students who have already earned credits for Macroeconomics I are not allowed to register for Macroeconomics I (Special Topics in Economics).
