TA DUTIES

Be able to come early to make photocopies of the handouts to be distributed to the registered students. Be able to attend the lecture from beginning to end. Take attendance. Take detailed notes of activities during the lecture. Send follow-up email messages to students reminding of assignments and instructions. Coordinate assigned group activities, assigned time slots for presentations and keep time. Respond to questions students may have via email and cc me. Provide support to students who do not understand some points after the lecture if need be. Stay in touch with me via mail or phone for emergency situations. Maintain a good rapport with the students.

NOTICE: 中国における新型コロナウイルスに関連した肺炎患者の発生について（注意喚起） 中国への渡航を行う際には、以下の情報を踏まえ、適切な感染予防を心がけてください。 （１）最新の情報を収集し、感染予防に努めること。（不確実な情報による不要な不安や混乱を防止し、正しい情報に基づく適切な判断・行動をお願いします。）一般的な感染予防策は次のとおり。 急性呼吸器感染症の症状が出ている方との濃厚な接触を避ける。 マスクを着用する。 頻繁に石鹸又はアルコールによる手洗いを行い、よくうがいをする。 生きている又は死んだ家畜や野生動物との密接な接触を避ける。 咳エチケットを実践する。（一定の距離を保ち、咳やくしゃみをするときにはティッシュまたは布やハンカチで口や鼻を覆う。） （２）中国から入国・帰国した際に咳や発熱等の症状がある場合には、検疫官に自己申告すること。 （３）潜伏期間があることから、入国・帰国後しばらく経過後に咳や発熱等の症状が発生した場合には、マスクを着用の上医療機関を受診し、その際は、中国の渡航　　歴があることを申告すること。 なお、海外渡航の際には、万一に備え、家族や友人、職場等に日程や渡航先を伝えておくとともに、３か月未満の旅行や出張などの際には外務省海外旅行登録「たびレジ」、3か月以上滞在する場合は「在留届」に必ず登録するようにしてください。

GraSPP students are encouraged to participate in this symposium. [Overview] In a 2017 perception survey done by the World Economic Forum, “Biotechnology” and “Artificial Intelligent” ranked high in the question of emerging technologies perceived to bring both potential benefit and negative impact to the society. Both also stood out in terms of the technologies that needed better governance. Both technologies seem to have common features – such as big roles played by the private sector – however, they also have different technology specific characteristics. This symposium examines the governance issues of emerging technologies – biotechnology and AI – from various perspectives by inviting key figures in this field. It also considers the possible governance issues we might face when these two technologies interact and meet.
