About the speaker: Mr. Shimonishi has more than 12 years of experience innine emerging countries in infrastructure finance and investment banking
business, including seven years at The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. (BTMU) and three years at Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). He was seconded to Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism(MLIT) as Chief of Project Coordination Office responsible for promoting Japanese high speed railways overseas for two years before assuming the current position back at MUFG Bank. He earned a BA and an MA in sociology from Kyoto University and attended the Executive Education “Infrastructure in a Market Economy” at Harvard Kennedy School.
