成績評価について Grading Schema

NOTE; The Japanese version is the authoritative version, and this English translation is intended for reference purpose only. Should any discrepancies or doubts arise between the two versions, the Japanese version will prevail.

Professional Degree Program

Grades are divided into five levels at Department of Public Policy, Graduate School of Public Policy; A+, A, B, C, and F. All grades above that of ‘C’ are pass. Grades may also be given as either Pass or Fail.

Below are the percentage marks for each grade:

A+     90% or above
A     80% or above
B     70% or above
C     60% or above
F     below 60%

A+ may be given approximately to the top 10% of the total number of students. In case the total number of students is less than 10, A+ can be given to one student.
A may be given approximately to the top 30% including A+. However, this 30% ratio does not apply to courses with 15 students or less, or, courses with no written examinations.
 
Students can apply for an explanation as to the reasoning behind their grades within one month of being notified of their grades. Please apply at the Graduate School office and follow the instructions of the administration staff. However, you can make a request for explanation only on the courses of GraSPP.

 

 

Doctoral Program

Grades are divided into four levels at Department of International Public Policy, Graduate School of Public Policy; A(), B(), C(), and F(不可). All grades above that of ‘C()’ are pass. Grades may also be given as either Pass or Fail.
