JOB INFORMATION

Globalization Office at Graduate School of Arts and Sciences is seeking one teaching assistant to help various operations at “UTokyo/ANU Exchange”, a joint course with Australian National University held in January and February, 2018.

 

The course comprises two parts: Tokyo part and Canberra part. The Tokyo part will be held between January 8th and 17th, 2018 and the Canberra part will be held between January 27th and February 11th, 2018.

 

The assistant is going to participate in the course throughout its duration including an overseas trip to Australia.

The assistant will be required to stay at the designated accommodation with other UTokyo and ANU students near Komaba campus during the Tokyo part but she can attend her own classes and examination with prior consultation with responsible professors.

DESCRIPTION

1.    PERIOD

(Tokyo and Yamanakako part) January 8th- January 17th, 2018

(Canberra part) January 27th – February 11th, 2018

2. DUTIES

Helping various operations of the course, mainly supervision of students and communication facilitation between professors in charge and students.

A successful candidate will have a pre-course meeting (paid) at Globalization Office in Komaba campus.

3. REMUNERATION

1000 yen/hour, maximally 8000 yen/day, 40000 yen/week

4. QUALIFICATIONS

Being a graduate student at UTokyo

Fluency in English (minimum of TOEFL 100 or equivalent)

Excellent communication skills and leadership

Proactive attitude toward learning of various areas of study

5. WORKING PLACE

January 8th to 12th: Komaba campus, University of Tokyo

January 13th and 14th: Yamanako area

January 15th to 17th: Komaba campus, University of Tokyo

January 28th to February 12th: Canberra, Australia and adjacent areas
