SPRING GX

The University of Tokyo “Fostering Advanced Human Resources to Lead Green Transformation (GX)” project (Project officer : Professor Shin-ichi Ohkoshi) supported by Support for Pioneering Research Initiated by Next Generation (SPRING) of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) is the program that 1,315 doctoral students participate from all schools of the University of Tokyo. The new SPRING GX has started in April 2024.
We are calling 100 students entering the doctoral course in Autumn 2025.

Applicants:
Prospective doctoral students for admission in Autumn 2025 (including 4-year doctoral course) 

Number of students to be admitted:
Around 100 students

Application period:
July 11 (Fri), 2025  – July 31(Thu), 2025   15:00
*M2 students currently enrolled in WINGS are also eligible

BOOST NAIS

Supported by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) under the BOOST initiative for young researchers and doctoral students in national strategic areas, the University of Tokyo’s project “Advanced AI Talent Development to Lead the Next-Generation Intelligent Society (BOOST NAIS)” is open to all doctoral students (including those in 4-year doctoral programs) at the university. We are now calling for approximately 6 project participants who entered in the doctoral program in the fall of 2025.

Applicants:
Applicants for the doctoral programs starting in Fall 2025, including those in 4-year doctoral programs.

Number of students to be admitted:
Around 6 students

July 11(Fri), 2025 – July 31 (Thu), 2025  15:00
