Yuta Sato

Yuta Sato is a master’s student in the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences at The University of Tokyo and also a member of the University-wide STIG (Science, Technology, and Innovation Governance) education program, offered primarily at the Graduate School of Public Policy at UTokyo. He worked for Sony for 13 years, mainly in sales and marketing of consumer products, and spent about three years in the United Kingdom as a marketing manager for a European sales company. He is currently taking leave from office to pursue studies in international cooperation and development with a focus on environmental issues, climate change, and business. He is particularly interested in changes in corporate attitudes and behaviors toward improving society through factors other than profit and government direction, such as dialogue with society in the development of hydropower on the Mekong River.
