NOTICE: “Information Security Education” for students using the UTokyo computer services I. All students (including researchers and auditing students, etc.) who have been issued with an UTokyo Account by April 1, 2022. *Students currently taking leave of absence are not required to take this program. II. The information security education program will be conducted during the following dates For students: May 9 to June 10, 2022 ➡ extended to July 8, 2022 III. If you do not take or pass the “Information Security Education”, your UTokyo WiFI account will be suspended for 5 months from November 1st. To take the e-learning course, please follow the steps outlined below. 1. Login to ITC-LMS https://itc-lms.ecc.u-tokyo.ac.jp/ (also accessible from off-campus) *Login with your student account (the 10-digit number at the bottom right of your student ID card). If you cannot log in, please refer to the following site as it means there is a problem with the account. https://www.u-tokyo.ac.jp/adm/dics/ja/account.html 2. Select "Information Security Training" in "Enrolled Courses". 3. Please see "Information Security Education 2022 for Students" in "Teaching materials". 4. Select "Information Security education (2022) TEST" and take the test until 10 questions have been answered correctly. *If you do not pass the exam, please refer to the explanation in "Confirm answer contents" and retake the exam. 5. Notes Regarding Course Registration Correction Period for S2 Courses
Registration correction period for courses offered at S2 term has started today, June 21. Please reconfirm Page 41-43 of “Course Registration and Academic Procedures Guide” and make sure you register necessary courses during the designated period. Registration Correction Period From Tuesday, June 21 to Thursday, June 23. Course Registration and Academic Procedures Guide (PDF) https://www.pp.u-tokyo.ac.jp/en/education/courses/ Please pay special attention to the following points: -During “Course registration correction period” you can add, change or remove S2 term courses. You CANNOT add, change or remove courses after the period. -You need to register your courses through UTAS. Course registration through ITC-LMS or bookmarking syllabus on UTAS is different from “Course Registration” on UTAS. To earn credits, you must register courses through UTAS. -Maximum amount of credits that students can register in one academic year is 38. Autumn enrolled student’s academic year will be counted from September. -If you are planning to register Thesis(6 credits) and/or Research Paper(2 credits), please make sure you do not exceed 38 credits including Thesis and Research Paper. -If you have any trouble or difficulties with registration on UTAS, please contact GraSPP Office by the end of course registration correction period. We can not respond to any request after the period. -

UNU-IAS* Intensive Core Courses 2022 *UNU-IAS: United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability UNU-IAS has announced its Intensive Core Courses in September. Course Information Under the exchange agreement between GraSPP and UNU-IAS, full-time students in either Master’s Program or Ph.D Program at GraSPP are able to register courses without paying tuition. If you wish to take courses, please submit the following documents to the GraSPP Graduate School Office via email by NOON on Friday, July 1. 1 Form1: Application Form(Excel, 44KB) 2 Form2: Statement of Purpose (Word, 67KB) * When submitting, please convert this form to PDF. 3 A copy of the latest transcript in English issued by GraSPP* * For first-year students who spend their first semester at GraSPP now, please submit the transcript by the institution in which in you were enrolled before GraSPP. 4 A copy of TOEFL or IELTS score report (if any) * You may be exempted from submitting this document. Please refer to the conditions on the UNU-IAS web page. Note: – Courses credits taken at UNU-IAS may be transferable to GraSPP. Those who wish to transfer credits are required to contact the GraSPP Graduate School Office after UNU-IAS courses start.
