NOTICE: Medical Check-ups for Autumn 2019 Entry Students and Researchers The medical checkups will be conducted as follows. GraSPP students who enrolled in September, 2019 need to take medical checkups at Hongo Campus during the period. Date: ①25 Oct.(Fri)②5 Nov.(Tue)③6 Nov.(Wed) Venue: Hongo Health Service Center (Administration Bureau Bldg.2) * Online reservation through the Health Service Center website is required. The reservation website will be available from 5 pm on Wednesday, 9 October (for women), from 5 pm on Friday, 11 October (for women) . *Online medical questionnaires will be available from 10 am on September 4. * Before medical check-ups, students need to answer an online medical questionnaire. * Please be sure to bring your student ID card and your reservation number at medical checkups. NOTICE: Rules of GraSPP students’ space / GraSPP学生スペースの利用方法
NOTICE: Rules of GraSPP students’ space Students Study Hall GraSPP students need to scan their ID card on card readers at entrances throughout the day. Reserving or occupying spaces with unattended personal belongings is NOT allowed. After using, please take all your belongings and keep a desk clean. Personal items left may be removed. GraSPP is not liable for any loss or damage of personal belongings in Students Study Hall. Discussion Room The room is common space for discussion and learning among multiple students. If you would like to do a self-study, please use the Students Study Hall. When you use a room, please be sure to write your name and student ID number on a booking board at entrance. One GraSPP student can use a room up to two hours a day in principle. If there are no reservations, a student can extend a scheduled time. GraSPP student can book a room in advance by writing down your name and student ID number on a booking board. GraSPP student can only bring drink with a lid into room. Please use the Student Lounge to have a meal. -

Call for Applications: Research Assistant PositionsResearch Assistant System at The University of Tokyo aims to promote effective research activities, to create an enabling research environment and to develop young researchers’ capabilities by making doctoral students with superior academic abilities and performance engaged in various research and research-related activities. In pursuit of the same aim, Graduate School of Public Policy gives its doctoral students with superior academic abilities and performance an opportunity to be engaged in the GraSPP Research Seminar Program (GReSP) as Research Assistants (RAs). The GReSP provides a venue where GraSPP faculty members, visiting researchers and invited speakers share their cutting-edge research work on public policy and related topics with broader academic and policy communities. GraSPP invites doctoral students enrolled in GraSPP to apply for Research Assistant positions as follows.
Eligibility Full-time doctoral students enrolled in GraSPP doctoral program Term of appointment Six months (October 2019 - March 2020) ResponsibilitiesRAs are required to contribute to the successful implementation of the GReSP by all levels of work in collaboration with faculty members and staff in charge. Expected work includes but not limited to: -Preparation for the seminar -Announcement/Advertisement -Support the seminar operation on the day -Maintain and update of the GReSP mailing list -Making records of events -Other related work
Remuneration40,000 yen / month Paid in accordance with the rules and regulations set by GraSPP. Please note that the amount of withholding tax will be deducted from each payment.
Number of RAs to be appointed in the same term Two Documents to be submitted An applicant is required to submit a research work plan (Form 1, 36KB in Excel format). Prior to submission, please obtain your main supervisor’s approval. Application Deadline Friday, August 30 Submit to GraSPP Graduate School Office by e-mail (ppin[at]j.u-tokyo.ac.jp)GraSPP’s Research Promotion Committee will evaluate the work plan and select RAs.
