GraSPP Administrative Office is looking for students who could help with English proofreading and English-Japanese (or Japanese-English) translation. Requests of proofreading/ translation will be sent irregularly and will be paid per document product. Responsibilities: -Proofreading reports written by students/ alumni. -Translating reports written by students/ alumni. -Proofreading or translating other articles/ documents that will be shown in website, newsletter, etc. *Contents will be rather general than academic. *Please indicate which tasks (English proofreading, Japanese-English translation or English-Japanese Translation) you are capable. Requirements: 1. Applicants must be currently enrolled in GraSPP. 2. Applicants must have sufficient reading & writing skill in English. 3. Those who have experience in writing articles & columns, or have experience in English-Japanese or Japanese-English translation are appreciated. Regarding Research Paper / リサーチペーパーについて
Research Paper schedule (5150010 course code) Two credit points will be conferred upon passing the final oral examination. Research Paper can be written during both their first year and second year. A maximum of four credits can potentially be gained through the submission of a Research Paper. Though you can register and write Research Paper and Thesis at the same semester, you cannot submit the same Title Report for each papers. The paper must be written under the academic supervision of a faculty member. Only those faculty members who teach course at the Graduate School of Public Policy in the same academic year are permitted to be supervisors. Part-time lecturers and some of Visiting teachers cannot be supervisors. The schedule of combined courses with the Graduate School of Economics and the Faculty of Economics
The combined courses held at the classrooms of the Graduate School of Economics follow the academic calendar for the Graduate School of Economics. (The indications for the Graduate School of Economics classrooms include "EC", like "Ec3" or "IAR EC514s".) Please note that there are some differences in the academic calendar between the Graduate School of Economics and the Graduate School of Public Policy. If you have any schedule conflicts, please talk with lecturer and follow his/her guidance. -

A study tour from the Philippines led by The Japan Foundation will visit GraSPP on Tuesday, April 16. The four university students are the winners of the essay contest on Japan-Philippines relationship. Why don't you join the free lunch and exchange views with the group? Ms Tomoko Nakamura, a GraSPP alumnus of Year 2011, who is based in Manila and works for the Japan Foundation will come with them.
