Mei Mitsui

Mei Mitsui

Mei Mitsui is a first-year master's student at the Graduate School of Public Policy, University of Tokyo. She obtained her LL. B at Nagoya University, Japan and has been involved in research projects exploring the immigration-crime nexus, refugee pathway policies, and refugee portrayals in print media, all within the Japanese context. Her research interests include global migration policies, maritime security issues, and Japanese ODA initiatives. Next to her studies, she works as a teaching assistant for the Global Leadership Program’s Independent Research Project at UTokyo.
