Use of Bloomberg terminal from April 2025
The Bloomberg terminal located in the Student PC Room (4th floor of the Akamon Bldg) will no longer be available after April 1, 2025. After April 2025, students will be allowed to use the one in Common Lab 2 of the Graduate School of Economics after completing the necessary procedures, only if their advisors deem it truly necessary for writing research papers, thesis, or doctoral dissertations. This applies to students who have a Bloomberg account from the last academic year as well. Please contact GraSPP Academic Affairs Team for questions at ppin.j@gs.mail.u-tokyo.ac.jp -

The OECD Global Relations and Cooperation (GRC) Tokyo Office serves as a vital hub for OECD's global relations, with a strong focus on Southeast Asia and the broader Indo-Pacific region. Leveraging the OECD Southeast Asia Regional Programme (SEARP) and the OECD Strategic Framework for the Indo-Pacific, the Office promotes regional cooperation and dialogue on priority areas such as trade, investment, innovation, digital, taxation, and sustainable development.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to OECD's strategic engagement from our Tokyo Global Relations Office, specifically focusing on fostering partnerships with Southeast Asia. It provides an immersive experience within an international context, where Southeast Asia, Japan, and the OECD intersect.
Job Description and Main Responsibilities:
Contribute to the planning and execution of activities and events led by the GRC Tokyo Office as a regional hub for the OECD’s engagement with Southeast Asia by: Providing weekly reports on the updates and events in the Southeast Asia region and regarding the cooperation between the OECD, Japan, and key regional partners. Supporting the preparation of meetings and events with local, regional, and international organizations based in Tokyo. Drafting background materials on selected topics related to the Southeast Asia Regional Programme (SEARP) networks and initiatives. Handling other tasks as requested by the Head of the GRC Tokyo Office.Qualifications:
Currently enrolled student/graduate student in international relations, public policy, law, economics, or a related field. Excellent command of English with strong drafting skills. Fluency of Japanese is mandatory. Knowledge of a regional language or experience in Southeast Asia is an advantage. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team and on a wide range of topics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Internship Details:
Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of renewal up to a maximum of 12 months. There may be some flexibility for a shorter duration if required. Candidates must be based in Japan and hold a valid student visa for the entire internship period (for non-Japanese citizens). (For GraSPP reccommendation) Candidates must be enrolled in GraSPP. No relocation, accommodation, or any such support will be provided. Availability for full-time (40 hours per week) with flexibility if required (ongoing studies or similar). A monthly stipend (contribution to living expenses) of 161,935.00 JPY will be provided.――――
