The University of Tokyo will hold the Diploma Presentation Ceremony for AY2022 as follows. Date&Time: Thursday, 23 March 2023 [Session 1] 9:00 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. Venue: Yasuda Auditorium (Address: 7-3-1, Hongo, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo) (Campus Map) Eligibility: Those who graduated (will graduate) between October2022 and March 2023 For those who are unable to attend the ceremony, a live stream of the ceremony will be provided via the Internet. In the afternoon of the same day the GraSPP Diploma Presentation Ceremony will take place. However, the details have not decided yet and subject to changes depending on the university activities restrictions caused by the covid-19 pandemics. The GraSPP Graduate School Office will notify its schedule of graduating students directly.

Application open for Fund Internship Program (FIP), International Monetary Fund
The International Monetary Fund is looking for talented candidates to join Fund Internship Program (FIP) Successful applicants will undertake a 10-12 week paid internship in the IMF headquarters in Washington DC between June and October 2023. Under the guidance of an experienced IMF colleague, Fund interns will conduct research and analysis on a topic determined by the Fund. Your work may culminate in a research paper and may be published internally. Qualifications PhD students • Be within one to two years of completing a PhD in macroeconomics or a related field. • Be in student status at the time of the internship (i.e. continuing PhD studies after the internship). • Be below the age of 32 at the commencement of the internship. • Have an excellent command of English, written and oral. • Possess strong analytical, quantitative and computer skills. Master's students • Completing a Master's degree in macroeconomics or a related field. • Below the age of 28 at the commencement of the internship. • Have an excellent command of English, written and oral. • Possess strong analytical, quantitative and computer skills. NOTICE: JISPA scholars cannot apply for this program. To be considered, your application must be submitted using the portal and include the following: Fully completed application form. Responses to all questions. A personal CV/Resume, as an attachment. A recent transcript for the university program in which you are currently registered (showing your current status and recent grades). Notes Regarding Course Registration for A2
Registration period for courses offered at A2 term has started from, December 6th. Please reconfirm Page 41-43 of “Course Registration and Academic Procedures Guide” and make sure you register necessary courses during the designated period. Registration Period From Tuesday, December 6 to Monday, December 12. Course Registration and Academic Procedures Guide (PDF) http://www.pp.u-tokyo.ac.jp/en/education/courses/ Please pay special attention to the following points: -Be sure to meet the deadlines. Procedures cannot be made outside of the period. -You need to register your courses through UTAS. Course registration through ITC-LMS or bookmarking syllabus on UTAS is different from “Course Registration” on UTAS. To earn credits, you must register courses through UTAS. -“Course registration correction period” is provided after “Registration period”. You can add, change and remove A2 term courses during the period. You CANNOT add, change or remove courses after the period. -You cannot add, change and remove A1A2 or A1 courses during the period. -Maximum amount of credits that students can register in one academic year is 38. Autumn enrolled student’s academic year will be counted from September. -If you have any trouble or difficulties with registration on UTAS, please contact GraSPP Office by the end of course registration correction period. We can not respond to any request after the period.
